YouTube

I came across this site while looking for a program that'd allow me to view "YouTube" on my Tilt. I thought this would be a good place to post a request for assistance.

I currently receive excellant quality streaming videos on MSNBC Mobile, so I know that the phone's capable of showing them. When I go to YouTube the text comes up as little squares. I can see pictures but they won't open and play. I've tried using Avot mV with limited success.

Here are some applications that I know of to view youtube videos. I've attached #2. there are 2 cabs files included in the zip file.

1. Coreplayer (commercial)
2. TCPMP w/ youtube plugin (freeware)
3. youtubeplayer (freeware, flaky, but has potential)

Installation

---------------

1. Copy both cab files to your device.
2. Install tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab
3. Install FlashVideoBundle.cab

If you go to Programs you will find a new icon that says video sites. It contains links to youtube, google video etc. Choose the full link.
Attached Files
File Type: zip tcpmp_youtube.zip (1.01 MB, 161 views) Click for barcode!

Unhappy Re: YouTube

I'm with you on this one. Nothing happens when I click on the "watch video" link - which should happen simultaneously, as it does on YouTube on my laptop. HELP someone!

Re: YouTube

Make sure you're browsing www.youtube.com and not m.youtube.com (mobile site). If you're on m.youtube.com, scroll down and click view desktop version. It only works with Internet Explorer.

If it still doesn't work, I've attached Youtube Player. Unzip, copy cab to your device, install.

**The app is written in a mixture of .net and C so you need the .net runtime.
props to milesmowbray from xda for creating this app.

Re: YouTube

I came across a streaming media site that seems to work very well. I've been able to watch videos that are very long with no problems. It's also free! The address is; http://m.vtap.com

the odds of someone gettin there hands on skyfire slim to none..

and im runnin the opera 9.5 cab from the diamond, and still the wait/load time is ridiculous

best bet is to just use youtube play..the wait/load time is a bit streched out..but it works pretty damn good
