Add Contact list Pictures via Facebook

For those of you that wish you had pictures for all of your contacts in your phone (like me), I found this great program on the web that allows you to sync profile pictures from your friends list in Facebook to your phones contacts.

It works pretty well, the only thing is that you need to install the compact framework 3.5 for it to work. I would suggest that you install the Compact Framework into main memory storage as it may make certain programs slightly sluggish if its installed on the micro SD card.

Re: Add Contact list Pictures via Facebook

Sorry about that guys, I only saw my own profile picture sync, I didn't even notice that you can add pictures for contacts via the HTC software.

I doubt its worth installing anymore UNLESS you want to get the birthdays synced as well as this software does this as well.

How do you do this with the pre-installed software?

You first need to associate with your FB acct using the app (I think included with the phone or easily downloaded from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi.../facebook.mspx

Go to your contacts, select the one you want to keep synced, select edit, scroll to the bottom and select "Link - Associate with Facebook Account."

Hope this helps! (Please hit Thanks if it does!)

Re: Add Contact list Pictures via Facebook

Does the FB app go into landscape mode for you guys? It doesn't for me and I"m wondering if that's how it's built or if it's just me.

Re: Add Contact list Pictures via Facebook

Sorry for the delay, since I thought that this was an answered question I didn't see it... No, the Facebook app does not go into landscape for me. A lot of mobile apps and sites (PPCGeeks, for instance) do not go into landscape for me. I think it is because they were designed to be so easily read and navigated in portrait mode.
