Re: browser question

Try this key to make Opera the default browser again.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\DE FBROWSER\1

Value = "\Windows\OperaL.exe"

The forum isn't letting me spell it out correctly but it should read : D E F BROWSER with no spaces in that folder.

Re: browser question

Use a registry editor like Total Commander. Open TC and go to Plugins then Registry then cick on the folders in the path above that I listed. Change the value to match the text (with quotes included). Exit and it should be done.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you have Total Commander? If not you can get it from this link:

http://tcce.s3.amazonaws.com/ce3/tcmdpocketarm.cab

Run that to install then run the program and follow my instructions from the previous posts.

You should take his advice and try total commander. A week ago I was afraid to touch the registry but it's quite easy once you work up the nerve. And useful.
