Re: Phone not working after Clear memory (Factory Defaults)
What does it not do? Make/take calls? And what do you VZW said they can't do anything? Are they not replacing it at least? Or are they saying sorry we can't help you? Have you called their Tech Support? I had to call them a couple times with my 6900 when it wouldn't authenticate on the network after a hard reset a couple times. They fixed it on their end in 5-10 mins.

Re: Phone not working after Clear memory (Factory Defaults)
Making and receiving calls doesn't work. Internet doesn't work.
They are replacing the phone. I hope its a new one for a refurbished one. *228 says it says " Unfortunately we cannot complete the request. Please call customer support ...." |

Re: Phone not working after Clear memory (Factory Defaults)
I have had this issue several times. Couple ways I have fixed this. (a) called tech support and B*tched or (b) copied over a verizon prl rebooted the phone and then I was able to do *228 and reprogram it.

Re: Phone not working after Clear memory (Factory Defaults)
What's the advantage of doing this from the settings screen instead of just doing a hard reset?

Re: Phone not working after Clear memory (Factory Defaults)
I would try calling the activation phone number for Verizon from a land-line, and once that process is complete, dial the *228 from the phone itself.
