Change TouchFLO Internet Tab Bookmarks
 

Here's a brief how-to on changing the bookmarks on the Internet tab in TouchFLO 3D.

1. Open a file manager and browse to \Windows\Opera9 on your phone.

2. Copy the opera6.adr file to your PC (Connected with Activesync)

3. Open the opera6.adr file with Wordpad or something like Notepad++ (Notepad can work, but it's not as easy to read)

4. From here you can simply change the NAME and URL fields to whatever you want and if you wish to add more links, just copy one of the existing items and paste it at the bottom keeping the same format and edit the appropriate fields. Not sure if the ID matters, but I just increment them to the next higher number so they don't match.

5. Copy the edited file back to the folder in step 1.

Thanks. So this is "manual?" It won't automatically update it when I add new bookmarks? Still not bad since I hardly use the feature. I usually just open the browser.

I changed the bookmarks in Opera and that did it for me!

I upgraded to 9.7 which doesn't change the tab bookmark from Opera unfortunately. Not a big deal. The trade off OMHO is that 9.7 is significantly faster. I also like the scrolling pages for back/forward.

So far I am not liking 10.0 but maybe others will sway my opinion.

First of all why are all these mobile device support sites so mobile unfriendly?!? After 3 attempts had to go to the big PC to post this...

Solved: after upgrading Opera mobile there was a disconnect between the bookmarks on the internet tab of my TP2 and opera - adds/changes made in Opera did not impact bookmarks in the internet tabs, though deletions showed up in both.

Solution: I simply searched for, changed properties from read only/system and deleted all instances of opera6.adr (I used Total Commander, backed up the opera6.adr files first). After this step both the internet tab and Opera Mobile were blank/devoid of bookmarks.

Subsequently any bookmarks added through opera show up in both places. Saving new bookmarks created a fresh opera6.adr file. Yes I had to recreate all bookmarks but now they work as intended and are in synch.
