Screen rotation with Opera 9.7 Beta

Any of your running the Opera 9.7 Build 35166 beta? For some reason I can't get it to rotate out of portrait to landscape. Is there a trick I'm missing?

Are you expecting it to auto-rotate or using one of the rotating apps?

I just installed Opera 10 Beta, and it doesn't auto-rotate. I'm using G-Config to make it rotate.

Is 10 noticeably better? I guess I was expecting it to autorotate like the last one. Thanks for the link.

I never used 9.7, but it 10 is a lot better than 9.5. Faster and smoother.

You can enable native landscape G-Sensor functionality in Opera Mobile 10. See the last post on this page for info.

As for 9.7, the best version I found was build 35523 for VGA/WVGA located in the first post of this thread.

It does support rotation as well.

I'm pretty sure that's what G Config does anyway, so it's the same result either way. G Config saves me the trouble of registry edits.

Opera 10 was released for windows mobile today but I still needed to use g-config to set up landscape on that as well.

Re: Screen rotation with Opera 9.7 Beta

I really want to install Opera 10 but I have a few concerns.

1. Does Opera 10 install alongside Opera 9.5 (the default on the Imagio) or does it 1st remove 9.5? I asking because I wanna be able to fall back to 9.5 if possible.

2. Does Opera 10 allow the use of the zoom bar or is there any way to get it working with Opera 10?

3. Someone above mentioned g-config for auto-rotation in Opera 10. Is this something that is done once to enable Opera 10 to do landscape or everytime you want to use opera 10 in landscape?

Thanks

1. I believe so yes unless you tell it to install into \Windows which by default it does not.

2. Not that I have seen yet.

3. One time, whether you use the config. above to do it native in the G-Sensor settings, or with some other rotation app.
