Screen won't turn off automatically

Can anyone think of a reason why my screen will no longer turn itself off automatically? I have to hold the power button down and select the "turn screen off" option or it will not go off. The backlight will dim down but the screen is still on. It's killing my battery.

My phone randomly decided to change the battery setting to turn off the screen. go the the battery setting and select "Turn off Phone" when on battery power...

That fixed it. I didn't think to look under the power settings. I was looking under the screen settings. Thanks!

thanks!!!!!! i was having the same problem and also didnt think of checking under power settings...i have mine set to turn the screen off if not used for 30 sec and then turn device off if not used for 1 min. the screen dims after 30 sec and then turns off after 1 min.. it should say " DIM screen after ___ sec" and turn SCREEN off after 1 min"
