Ram Question after registry find

Playing about in the registry I found an entry titled "Available RAM on boot" and wondered what it was. I have noticed that the value is pretty darn close to my available RAM on startup and the number (in the registry) never changes.

Exact location "HKCU\Performance" -- my value is 103538688. I think this number is in bytes. I boot with available RAM @ 95mb-100 mb

Would changing this make more RAM available?

Why don't you try editing the registry yourseld and letting us know the results? Also, what's the full path?

Mine was 82537688, I changed it to 52537688. After soft reset it changed itself to 79342345?????? I think maybe it records the available ram at previous boot.
