Re: Disable SMS Sent Notification

I previously did the regedit. This time I used the cab after a hard reset. It stops the "bubble"but I still sometimes get the "Notification" which requires a dismiss all.

Are these two seperate issues or does the regedit ficx this? I haven't figuredout how to use PHM Regedit yet. Forget whioch software I used last time.

This stops the popup notification telling you the SMS message was sent.

Re: Disable SMS Sent Notification

is there a way to stop the title bar notification I only get sometimes? other times it shows while sending then goes away once the sms is sent.other times I ned to dismiss the notification. And which phm do I need? I don't see the + signs to navigate my registry.

The only time I see an icon on the titlebar when sending is for MMS not SMS.

Re: Disable SMS Sent Notification

I'm only slightly above novice, but for some reason my Imagio responded differently to the cab than just doing the regedit. After the cab I couldn;t even find the reg item. So I did a hard reset tonight (for other reasons as well) and got the proper version of PHM Regedit. Changed the value to 2 and no issues.

Re: Disable SMS Sent Notification

Sherry,

Your registry is actually just something that tells Windows how to operate, where ''what'' is, retains settings, etc. It's not so much something that you go to as much as something you access via regitry editing software (the software retreives the appropriate file(s) and allows you to edit them).

Just get a free registry editor - I use the PHM Regedit title. You can Google it, find it, download and install it. Then just open your new program and follow the directions as outlined here.

When someone references something like HKLM, that stands for HKey Local Machine. HKCU is HKey Current User. You get the idea. If you need further help, just post away!

Best of luck to you and remember, make REALLY sure about what you're doing when in your registry. Literally one wrong click or SAVE can result in a completely inoperable system requiring a hard reset, resulting in a loss of all your data (unless you store it on a memory card).

In the registry go to HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Inbox>Settings you will see a string named SMSNoSentMsg. Change the value to 2 and soft reset and enjoy.
thank you!!! I have tried a lot of things. Advanced Config., different registry edits from other threads and forums, done 100 soft resets, etc.

Finally! this one worked!
