I prefer the older version of Internet Explorer

Any way to install it on here and replace this newfangled version?
The old one was plenty fast for me, and it just worked. Along with skeewzer pages were almost always rendered to fit the screen just right. I never had issues with selecting hyperlinks or anything. This new version I simply don't care for. I don't care for Opera or Skyfox at all either. I just don't see the need for tabbed browsing on a device this small, nor do I see the need for rendering webpages full screen only to struggle with zooming and and resizing just so.
Any ideas?

Change the browsing mode in IE from desktop to mobile. That will change the rendering method.

I do the same; my default in IE is Mobile experience and I actually prefer that over anything else as I don't want to see the bloated version unless I have to.

Windows 6.5 comes with both versions of Internet Explorer by default. In order to activate the older version use a utility called "IE Toggle". I've been using it for a while...works like magic, although occasionally it throws an error while switching - ignore it and you good to go. Download it here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=65154

Cheers!

And if all that doesn't fit your style, get Opera Mini which does the mobile view browsing and re-formats the pages to fit on screen etc very fast as well.

Thanks. But I hated Opera mini when I tried it out on my last phone XV6800. I just like good old IE. It seems to just work.

You should check out UC Web, I find it quicker and easier to use than Opera Mini 4.5 or 5.0.

That looks kinda neat. Got any more screen shots though?

I may load it onto my old XV6800 first and play around with it.
