problem with power/end button

Anyone encounter any problems with the hardware key not clicking but still responding? Seems like the spring is not responding anymore. I've tried running my fingernail along the ridges to see if it will pop back up but it's not doing it. Worse case scenario before I ruin it anymore I'm going to request an exchange while I'm still in my 30 day timeframe.

I have same problem. Sometimes have tp press multiple times for it to respond.

I have been having a problem with my windows button in the middle. If i run my finger across it, it sounds like its sticky and the plastic is about to break. It still presses in and functions fine but I'm kind of worried its not going to last much longer. I already returned my TP2 for the imagio. Will i be able to exchange this one if my original 30 days is up from when i bought the TP2?

Re: problem with power/end button

I had a similar problem just a few days ago with the "Send/Call" button. I took it back to the VZ store and they gave me a new Imagio no questions asked. I had it about a week and a half before this happened. One thing with the button is that it would not respond consistently even when pressed hard. I probably could have lived without the physical "click" but it affected the functionality as well.

I was wondering if this was a wider-spread problem and had planned on posting my experience here. Thanks!

Honestly if you're still in your time frame just go exchange it.. there is no reason to try or want to fix a brand new phone you've purchased... obviously you want your moneys worth and not something that seems like it was made in china! Other than that im sure soon/if not already there is a video online about how to fix/ take apart the imagio.. once again though this probably will void warrenty so just get off ur lazy butt and run to the store :headbang:

Re: problem with power/end button

No problems here with hardware buttons. Just figured I'd chime in so people don't think it's a common problem with the device, I'd suspect it's a very small minority. Definitely take it to the store and get them to swap it if you have one like this though. Hardware issues should be covered by Verizon if found quickly, otherwise they are definitely warranty issues HTC should honor.
