Imagio Weather Updates
 

My Imagio fails most of the time to find my location for weather and presents some city in Europe or Asia as a substitute. GPS is on, my location changes during the day, other GPS functions work correctly.

Anyone else have this problem?

This is particularly annoying since you can't opt out of the function, set a default location, or in any other way keep it from happening. It's also annoying that it only refreshes every 3 hours (no other option) and we all know weather can change faster than that.

I don't have a problem with mine, but you can at least add a second, static location, at least a semi-nearby. Since my location changes, I make sure my second location is the nearest city to my house.

I know it doesn't actually solve the route problem, but its a nice bandaid I recently discovered: you can choose which weather you display on the homepage by clicking on the clock, and selecting one of the static locations you chose in the weather app.

So the "My Location" location may not be any better, but at least you're not forced to view some random location on the home page.

Actually, now that my phone has mysteriously started staying in 3G mode (instead of "sticking" in 1X), the "My Location" weather works as it should now. The problem only seemed to occur in 1X mode.

Yes that is true. It seems the My Location service really only functions (or at least properly) on the 3G network.
