Re: Motorola Droid????????????????????

As I said in another post...

I've been struggling with this all month, but the droid hardware just blows the Imagio out of the water. Bigger screen, same size, pullout keyboard, better battery life, camera with flash, 16 gb SD card included, same price. Android will take some getting used to- especially trying to get wifi tethering on it. But there's no reason why I shouldn't try it. Plus it has Google Voice and Google Nav.

The two big criticisms of the Droid right now are the keyboard and lack of hard phone buttons. I can't really complain about the physical keyboard, because its the same thickness as the imagio, so if I just never used the keyboard, it would be the same as the imagio. And the lack of hard phone buttons... we'll see.

So, I will return the Imagio and get the Droid.

I'll stick with the Imagio for now, I use the CDMA/GSM on the Imagio and as I see it, the Droid is only a CDMA phone.

Re: Motorola Droid????????????????????

I think it is premature until the device is out. If you check the specs it is size and weight it is closer to the TP2 than the Imagio, however, that may not matter if it feels comfortable. Personally I think is is very ugly, but that may not bother me as much once I see it in person. So no point in debating something you haven't used yet. I wouldn't buy into reviews too much, good or bad, surely we've all disagreed with reviews before.

TP2 4.57H x 2.33W x 0.68D 6.35 oz
Imagio 4.65H x 2.43W x 0.55D 5.25 oz
Droid 4.60H x 2.40W x 0.50D 6.00 oz

Its closest to the imagio in size, and is thinner than both. Way thinner than the TP2, and has a physical keyboard.

Here is a sizing comparison of the 3 devices.
