Weird charging issues. Loss of cars FM reception & audio output hiss?

I have had the HTC Imagio since 2 days after online release. So far its the best PDA I have owned, and I have had many.

However, I have two very weird issues with my Imagio, both are during charging. The first issue is confirmed with a Cadillac STS and a Chevrolet Colorado, and three different USB chargers (One being a genuine Verizon charger). This situation is the worst and has only happened maybe 5 times but what happened is while charging the phone, a known good radio station will be nothing but static. I can unplug the phone, and the station comes back. I can repeat this over and over again. It also doesn't matter if the vehicle is on not.

The other issue I have is while charging the phone and with a 3.5mm adio device connected, there will be a loud hiss in the background. Unplug the charger, and it sounds clear again.

My question is does anyone else have similar results while charging their phones?

Hmm, I've used the phone quite a bit in a similar way to what you're doing and I've not run into any of that. Might be worth having Verizon take a look at it?

Put the phone in CDMA only, and try again.

As far as the hiss goes, that might be interference from the grounding in the vehicle since it only happens when you connect it to the charger. The problem about the phone taking over and drowning out the radio stations while plugged in though is beyond me. Are either of those vehicle equipped with Windshield antennas? Aftermarket or original sound system? try the phone in a third vehicle to see if it is definately a consistent problem..
