Does Imagio run carrier customizations when powered on 1st?

Mine is in the mail (got it for the wife actually) but I wanted to check if someone tried...

I am guessing that Imagio (like other WM phones I had) runs customizations when powered on first. This is the time when some of the "bloatware" is installed.

Did anyone try soft resetting after screen alignment? What does not get installed? I guess I can give it a whirl and hard reset if it is bad but just wanted to check...

Re: Does Imagio run carrier customizations when powered on 1st?

Mine never asked me to align the screen...at all.

It MAY be during the "Programming" of this phone (which you have to do each time you hard reset it, unlike the Touch Pro.)

?

Ah that is possible... I think alignment screen is optional and can be skipped by the carrier... just never heard of someone actually doing it!

I believe the customizations are in the rom. You can skik the initial programming, and all the carrier customizations are there.

Re: Does Imagio run carrier customizations when powered on 1st?

The initial programming is due to the SIM card for Global use. It grabs a PRL file and some other stuff.
