Installing JAD?

I don't know what it is, and google hasn't been much help either, but how do you install JAD files? I'd like to try out ebuddy, but it gives me a .jad file that doesn't want to install.

You need a Java JBED install on your device. Such as the one found here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407667

You may want to read up on how they work, and search for more info on Java Midlet or JBED to understand them and how to make shortcuts etc.

Don't know about a .jad file, but the Imagio is not listed as a supported phone at present in any case.

Great, that did the trick. This JBED thing and ebuddy seems to have a lot smaller footprint than other cabbed options... like palringo.

Although the Imagio is not a supported phone, lots of WM phones are supported by them. I couldn't find one on that list that had a large screen, so the font is incredible small. But it still works!

Yeah the app and/or the JBED midlet app are probably not designed for WVGA graphics so they may work with smaller text/graphics. Hopefully as more and more screens go WVGA/VGA which they have the past year or so, more apps will emerge that pretty much work out of the box for the bigger screens.
