my speaker doesn't work
 

somehow i managed to turn off my speaker. so the phone will no longer ring, alarms dont go off, anything involved with the speaker doesnt work. the earpiece works fine and vibrate are good. i dont know how i could have done that? ive downloaded quite a few apps from xda, could there be something conflicting that i can try to do? if not it looks like ill have to do a hard reset.

If you go to All Settings -> Sounds and Notifications are the Events and Programs boxes checked?

yes, they are.
[checked] Events (warnings, system events)
[checked] Programs
________[checked] Notifications (alarms, reminders)

good idea to check that though.

What kind of apps/cabs have you recently installed around the time this stopped working? You mentioned you installed quite a few things.

the speaker is blown. i didnt download anything crazy, i didnt even know what a cab was until last week so that shows you how much i know how to edit the registry and stuff
