Uninstall Pre-Instsalled Apps?
 

Had an issue with my visual voicemail today. Long story short, the Verizon rep wanted me to remove, and re-install VVM. (i was able to do this on my storm and previos WM devices) To her surprise, the only thing we could uninstall were the few third party apps I had loaded. Ultimately to resolve my VVM issue, wh had to do a master reset. :banghead:

Great that fixed the issue, but I found it odd there is no obvious place to remove these programs, and that VW didnt know either.

BTW the error I was receiving when trying to play a VM through VVM was "please turn your volume up to hear your message"

Thoughts?

Your phone's volume was probably set to off. I get that message sometimes when I'm at work (where I keep my volume off) then get a VVM. I simply turn the volume back up and listen to my message. As for uninstalling some programs it's not quite that easy to do via the Remove Programs section since most of what comes on your phone is baked into the stock ROM which is why you're able to do a hard reset and have everything back to default without the need to reinstall the basic programs/settings that came with the phone.

I wish that's all it was. I checked that and Verizon had me check it. You are probably spot on about the ROM.
