GPS Lag

I've had my Imagio now since the 8th and was wondering if anyone else has lag issues. Don't get me wrong, the GPS is the most cooperative in a phone that I've ever seen (locks <1 min), but there's still a lag that I didn't see on my previous Titan (the Titan took forever too lock though).

Garmin seems to be about 50-75 yards off, so I've already passed the street that it says I'm approaching. I've tried with google maps as well, and the same thing happens. HOWEVER, when I drive around with Bing showing me where I am, there is almost no lag whatsoever. Any ideas on why this might be?

Have you run the QuickGPS app and downloaded the satellite cache info? If not do that and make sure it's kept updated once a week at least.

Re: GPS Lag

I noticed the same thing in TomTom the navigation software wasn't at least 75 yards off from where i was. I hope we can find a fix.

Re: GPS Lag

I had to dump TomTom for iGo8 due to the lag. I don't notice any lag with iGo8 or the freeby nav4all.

Re: GPS Lag

Any developments on this? I'd really like to keep on using Garmin. It's not so big a deal when I'm on the highway, because it's pretty obvious where to turn. In neighborhoods, however, it gets annoying because I'm passing the street when it tells me to turn...

Re: GPS Lag

Yeah, it looks like it might work. Just waiting on all the testing. The settings might be different though, since this guy's working with a diamond.

Re: GPS Lag

Honestly, I haven't noticed any lag at all, and the GPS works in every program on the phone that uses it. I use GPS Enabled Weather a lot, and it picks up the GPS much faster than my Omnia did.

Re: GPS Lag

I tried the GPSmod, and it doesn't seem to help a lot. I'm still tinkering with the settings (delta time/speed), and the lag is, indeed, gone, but the gps only updates itself once ever 2-3 seconds.
