which backup utility?

I used to use Sprite Backup on my XV6700. The website mentions compatibility with WM6.1; anyone know if it works on WM.5 (Imagio) also? What do you prefer, Sprite Backup, Resco Backup, or something else?

Mike

Re: which backup utility?

I'm currently using SPB Backup without problem but I hear Resco Backup is also a good program

Re: which backup utility?

I use sprite backup. I found a HTC oem version. Sprite works well.Your not going to see anyone list 6.5 compatability yet. 6.5 is a week old.

Re: which backup utility?

If you've got a data plan, the myPhone service from microsoft works well. If you have large files you want to back up, then it's probably not the best.

Re: which backup utility?

sprite has been around the longest and i usually use it when i want to backup for some reason. if you plan to flash roms when the unlocker comes i would use this time to learn how to use Sashimi to load all of your programs and settings. much better then a backup program which does not allow you to control what registry settings it is messing with.

so, just to make sure I understand: Sashimi can be used to restore my settings, preferences, and software back onto a device after I flash with a custom ROM? If so, that's superb; do I have to know all about the registry settings for each of my programs/prefs to know which ones to let it restore? I want to avoid having to do the whole setup manually, but knowing every single registry setting sounds too hard.
