where's the GPS?
 

I have not activated the phone portion yet - I'm still playing with it before I take the connectivity from my old phone. But the GPS should work without the phone network, right? Where are the settings, and is Google Maps an app (downloaded from?) or an internet thing?

check out my setup guide a few posts down from this one.

you have to download google maps from google and yes it uses data to download the maps so you must activate the phone to use it. it is an app that you run on your phone though. sorry the question confused me... :)
