Help deciding

hey everyone ive been trying to decide since the 6th if i should keep my tp2 or get the imagio. i am a heavy texter 1500 texts a month at the bare minmum, i use my phone for most of my internet browsing, maybe 25 - 30 emails a month. also i have a 7mp camera that is usually at my house just cause its easier to carry one device and use my phones camera ( personally i have no gripe with the tp2 camera at all.) the things that bother me are the added weight of the tp2 because of the keyboard, the battery life (im constantly charging this phone) and the having to wait for the new manilla and 6.5. the imagio though is holding me off because of the lack of keyboard; im big i wear a size 13 ring and the onscreen keyboard on the tp2 is horrendous to me. is the imagios kb any better? any help you guys could offer (reasoning, suggestion, etc) would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

From what I understand the touch keyboard on the Imagio is the same as the touch keyboard on the TP2. I too am a heavy texter but haven't had issue with the Imagio's touch keyboard aside from easily making smilies or other symbols. For this I might just install FingerKeyboard 2.1 (which I used on my Omnia and loved). With FK2 you can customize your keyboard and layouts (or download someone else's layouts). Before you make the hardware switch though why don't you install FingerKeyboard on your TP2 and force yourself to adapt to the touch keyboard for a week. Don't slide the TP2 keyboard out for any reason. That in itself should help you make the decision. Win6.5 is nothing more than a skinned Win6.1 with a few creature comfort changes. If you're using TF3D or SPB MS3 then you'll not notice much difference in the underlying OS.

Here's the FingerKeyboard link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501122

I don't text a lot, but I use TouchPal v3. First time I tried it I fell in love with it. I use 9 digit numeric layout with t9. Works really good for finger typing and it remembers new words I create. The whole interface is just awesome. U have to try it, word can't describe it.
I think it has 30 day or so trial.

The touchpal is awesome but I wish they would upgrade the resolution. The widescreen view takes up more than half the screen on the smallest setting.
