YouTube application buggy energy 21916

Hey guys,

Just flashed over from stock imagio verizon rom to energy 21916 everything is great except the youtube application. I really wanna use this application and not the crappy google one so someone please help.

Video playback will stop and I have to click on stop and it will just lag for 5 minutes then go back. Sometimes it will crash and I have to take out the battery. Othertimes the video will show 1 frame then the counter will keep moving and then it will go to another frame all with no sound. Sometimes video will play back flawlessly. Not sure whats going on and I hope someone has a fix for this.

I am doing this on the insurance trade in so I need to figure this out quick and send it back so I can flash my replacement phone and feel confident about the rom.

Known issue if you are using High Quality mode. Change it to Low and it shouldn't have these problems. Not much else you can do until it gets worked out.

This is a common issue. So far the only ROMs that Youtube works well on are Project Teya 1.3, Fulldeck and VeryClean D2C2 ROM. Links in my signature. Project Teya will be coming out with 1.5 soon, I would wait for that and YouTube bug will be fixed in that one.

Thanks for the response guys. Another question that is going to sound nooby. If I do a hard reset does the phone go back to the verizon rom or does it just reset again with the current custome rom?

Also If I want to go back to factory rom can I just flash the phone like if it were a custome rom. In otherwords is it easy to flash back to stock verizon rom?

Once the phone is flashed to a custom ROM and you hard reset it just goes back to the same last custom ROM you put on there. It does not go back to the stock ROM. If you want to go back to the stock ROM you can indeed just flash the stock ROM.
