Are there any files under the Windows folder I can delete to free up space? For example, I have a lot of album, alert, add contact, etc., files. Can II delete nny of them?

Re: unnecessary files

I would not recommend messing with the Windows folder, you may end up deleting something that is a neccessary file and have to reflash your phone. I would recommend moving any mp3s, photos, and other personal files to the storage card. You can also install apps to your storage card as well.

Actually the default ROM files in the windows dir can't be deleted, it won't let you. Because its on the ROM. Even if you were to be able delete those files, it wouldn't free up space as you may think...different partitions...different memory structures.

The only files you can actually delete from the windows dir, is if you added an files manually or installed app(s) that installed files into that directory. Doing that will free up space. But you'd normally would do that by uninstalling the app.

Also subdirectories in the windows dir can be deleted...because those subdirectories are created during ROM install or hard reset. But I am not saying that nothing would get screwed up if you do so.

Re: unnecessary files

if your aching for clean space, just use sktools and run an advanced clean run. i just got almost 20mbs in free program memory from doing just that...

Re: unnecessary files

I've been reading the threads on SSK TP2 and nopush internet. Tried installing the cabs in the string, didn't help. Did I miss something there?

I'm confused on your post here. At first you were talking about unnecessary files in the win dir, but now I'm not sure what your asking. Are you now trying to disable no push internet?
if so, yes that would save RAM, but not storage space, as your were trying to accomplish with the removal of unnecessary files.
