Phone Keypad Dialing Question
 

When I call into my office phone to retrieve messages I need to press ** then my PIN. When I press '*' the letter 'P' appears instead. I can get the * to come up but it's random and seems like I have to time the button press perfectly...very frustrating!

Is the "*" indicating a pause, or telling the phone system that pin follows??

The * tells the phone system that a PIN follows. I press * twice and then my 3 digit PIN to access my company voice mail. A lower case p displays many times instead of the *

Hmmm. My * works every time. Are you using a mod dialer or the original one? If it is a mod I would uninstall it and try the original.

It's just stock keyboard on the phone.

I calibrated and aligned the screen under settings and I still get the lower case 'p' when pressing '*'. It's intermittent, I get the 'p' half the time.

Maybe I have a defective phone?
