AC-DC power adapter

I have several 12 volt charger cables designed for other phones that I have owned. Any special directions for clipping off the phone end of the cable and attaching a cable that has one of the small usb connections that goes to the imagio?

Thanks for any help or assistance

I don't have any special instructions - but did want to point out in case you didn't know already that any mini usb cable will work with the Imagio. I know it comes with an odd shaped mini usb - but the normal mini usb will also go right in there.

I also have 2 old mini usb chargers. One at home. 1 in the car (via an adapter). And the original in my office. Battery life on this phone is less than satisfactory.

Thanks
Yeah, I see that, but these are for the old Ipaq and the end of the charger is different. So am going to try and see if I can splice from one of the extra usb cables

You can buy a mini-usb charger for $10 or less. Why would you even want to screw around with it and take a chance on roasting your phone?

USB chargers are 5V... so putting 12V in your phone is NOT a good idea. ;)

Just buy an official charger, the amount of money you'll save making your own is simply not worth frying your phone.

Thanks for the advice guys, which I will heed. It is not the money. You know how some of us hate to throw anything into the environment and I must have at least a half dozen of these power accessories. No telling how many are laying in land fills.

That's why they make those green plastic bins labeled "recycling"!
