How are you two dialing numbers in India? I store my numbers using the plus code (+1 xxx-yyy-zzz for US numbers, +91 xx yyyyyyyy for India numbers, etc). Will the phone work correctly in India? I am using the registry tweak mentioned at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359674 to be able to dial using the plus code from the U.S.

I am using Energy ROM that does not have Assisted Dialing.
I'm using the latest GTX ROM too. OK lemme make it real simple for you

1)Buy unlock code from where ever you like.

2)Goto Settings->All Settings->Personal->Security and enter the code. It should say 'SIM unlocked' when done.

3)After you put your new SIM, go to Settings->Wireless Controls->Phone->Network.
Change it to GSM/UMTS only and hit find network.
Then go to the GSM/UMTS tab->Caller ID->get Setting and then change it to 'Everyone'.

You should be all set. If not PM me and I'll try to help as best.

And as for dialling, since its a global phone it gets all the network settings from the service provider. So just dial away!!!!

Hope this helped Cheers mate. Enjoy ya stay

Re: Carrier unlock woes

Thanks to you both! I wasn't sure if the dialing is controlled by the phone or the network. Glad to know I won't have to revert to the stock ROM and use Assisted Dialing!

Hi, I have purchased imagio from the net to use with reliance cdma ( in India) as it was mentioned unlocked.
Now the handset is not recognizing the cdma sim card though it is working fine on GSM .

I want to use it for reliance cdma. Please suggest us how to use this.

Re: Carrier unlock woes

The unlock mentioned in this thread was for the GSM SIM and not CDMA. There is no SIM card associated with the CDMA radio.
