Overclock the Imagio

Just found this over at XDA. Overclock application that works with our phone. Tried and tested and works at 710mhz. However, the app is still in test phase and reverts the speed back to stock after waking from sleep. Sure it will be fixed soon. Go check it out.

I would love to speed up my Imagio some, but I don't have any experience overclocking mobile phone procs. Is this safe? Did you see any speed differences at 710Mhz? Excessive heat?

There is nothing to it. After you install the app you just use it to move the slider to the amount you want to overclock. I have tried it on my phone several times and as long as you dont go above 710mhz your good. I did see a speed difference and no heat issues but was not able to keep it overclocked for more than 5 minutes to to the sleep issue.

great - thanks. I'll try it as soon as they have a way to use it when not connected to a power cord (which is 99% of my use).

This is not an issue with our phones. I have tried it on AC and on battery power and it runs fine either way. The problem is once you overclock and the phone goes to sleep, it resets the overclock back to stock. So basically it is only overclocked as long as the screen doesnt shut off.
