Re: New Imagio, Or Incredible?

Get an the Incredible man.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=119683

Here is an entire discussion we have been having about the very subject. My first experience on the Incredible was not that great. But I went back to check it out again and it was blazing fast.

I would get the Incredible. But who am I?

Re: New Imagio, Or Incredible?

I would think through this decision more, the Incredible runs Android, and frankly if you're not a Google fan or user, it's not going to be the thing for you. Windows Mobile is the most powerful mobile OS, hence why it can be slow or freeze up, but if the time is spent on getting it the way you want it to be, it's can definately fly, even on the 528MHz processor. Android is fast, frankly, because it's more simple.

It does boil down to your needs though, and I need more of a "pocket PC" than phone connectivity (heck, my Imagio isn't even active, pulled it off the account because I don't want to pay $30/mo for data, something I would have little need for). Once the new item factor wears off, it's really not going to be that "incredible" anymore. Several months or a year down the line, would you be still be happy with it? That's the key.

Re: New Imagio, Or Incredible?

My bro is getting the incredible, and i have the imagio. I am very happy with my phone, and the flexibility of cooked roms, etc. I think he will be happy with his phone as well, though I am sure I will be getting tons of phone calls to support him.

I don't have the issues of daily reboots... I rarely reboot my phone, as it is very stable. Energy rom, winmo7 theme for SPBMS....sweet!

Re: New Imagio, Or Incredible?

The Imagio is a fantastic phone, but it will be obsolete before the Incredible will.

Re: New Imagio, Or Incredible?

I am happy with my imagio (minus the button of course..)
As for uses, For me it is a Pocket PC. It's a work phone, I use GPS, Bing, Internet, Conferencing, not many apps though.. Shame i can't find any useful ones..

Besides bing i think i can get them all for Android. Although i do like Bing a lot. I'm sure Android has an alternitive. Thankfully i have two weeks to try it, I can go back to my Imagio is i choose to do so by then

Re: New Imagio, Or Incredible?

One issue to consider is travel. If you travel outside the US you will need the Imagio as it is a world phone. The Incredible isn't.

Re: New Imagio, Or Incredible?

Incredible battery life is dreadful.

Both the Imagio and Incredible are on borrowed time and have shoddy HTC quality. Just when you get it geeked/tweaked, screen protector on & running you need to get a replacement.

For Verizon, i'd go for the LG Fathom today on a 1-year contract for Bing Maps alone and WM6.5.3 without dealing with flaky Roms and 2-year deals.

i'd go with the LG

FINALLY! - with Windows Phone 7 Series... we are taking accountability for the entire experience. That means you will not see layers, like HTC Sense or TouchFLO built on top of the UI by OEMs or MOs (mobile operators). - Aaron Woodman, Microsoft Director of Consumer Experiences
