Help. Synced AOL to Gmail but forgot to "Leave on Server"

I was trying to help my wife and now all of her AOL email is gone from aol webmail and sitting in gmail. Is there any way to get it back to the server?

Can you sync from Gmail to AOL?

Or contact AOL tech support and see if they can pull some of your recent data from their servers.

you might be able to use an email convert tool/service to go from AOL from Gmail. That is probably what you ran to "move" the mail to Gmail in the first place.

For example windows live offers free use of

AOL offers imap email to avoid this

gcianc's advice is your best bet. I can assure you that AOL is not going to restore an email box from backups. Imagine the work load they would have if every time someone accidentally deleted something they had to restore files! O_O Ouch!

Best of luck to ya! Hope your honey isn't too upset!

AOL was no help. I actually did that years ago with my Hotmail before the Live Mail software was released. But I had a paid premium account and MS restored my Inbox. I was impressed.

I was able to recover my wife's email by doing as stated above. Pulling my gmail into AOL mail. It created a new folder for it which cannot be "Moved" into the inbox but at least she has it and is not upset.

AOL is the only major email provider I know without automatic email forwarding.

We've had these addresses since the very early 90's so hard to get rid of. In fact with a Windows Phone my hotmail has been pretty good.
