VCast TV and 23xxx

I've been flashing the various ROMs left and right from this forum, and have been using the BuildOS program from PPCKitchen to try to build my own ROM. Its been a trial and error process. Mostly error.

The big problem that's keeping me from the perfect (for me) ROM is trying to get VCast TV to work with any of the 23xxx builds. The MFLO cab installs just fine, but after I try to install the VCast cab, either I get weird error messages like "install unsuccessful because of insufficient system permissions" or it will install successfully but leave me with a black screen after the VCast Loading screen (the one with the red squares at the bottom).

I'm using DrEllisDee's VCast cabs from his ROM thread. Maybe there's something I'm missing here, cause I'm getting in way over my head.

yes he says they are digitally signed to work with his rom only.

Does anyone have a working vcast tv setup on the 23XXX platform?
