Sense 2.5 and Outlook

Is there any way to get Sense 2.5 to open Outlook directly from the messaging tab?

There is nothing inherent in Sense 2.5 that will not allow Exchange to function. However, some custom ROMs may not include the proper files that allow Exchange to function correctly. If you are using the latest Energy ROM, then this is the case. Just search that thread. Someone posted a fix to the problem.

My email works fine, Outlook with Exchange. I just want Outlook to open up instead of that hard to read HTC email reader. Now you hit the tab then the "Inbox" softkey to get to Outlook. I just want to skip that step.

I think if you press on the message itself in the HTC tab it will open your inbox and that particular email.
