Re: Imagio Kitchen has arrived!

Ok, I used Winrar to unzip. Yes, I right clicked and selected extract to.

XP with current service pack, 32 bit. 3.5 is installed.

The first try, I didnt name the ROM. When I did do Save ROM i used the .erv extension that is shown in the default folder.
Attached Files
File Type: zip Build_log.zip (6.6 KB, 5 views) Click for barcode!

No thats the wrong format. OEM style pkgs are for the older style kitchens. Visual Kitchen uses EXT pkgs. Use this tool and convert cab to EXT style pkg: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=525302

Some cabs that have a setup.dll are very difficult to convert to a kitchen pkg and may not work.

Hey Doc- why don't you write, "The Idiot's Guide to ROM Kitchens" for all of us lame brains. Lol. It would be very helpful.

Re: Imagio Kitchen has arrived!

maison, I would take that to mean me, a guide would be nice. I followed some of the link through on other posts for kitchens and there are a number of links that are broken.

Thanks drellidee. I'll try it later when I have a minute or three.

*****Edit******
Corrected, I found the bat file posted in the other thread.

Success. The bat file fixed the problem. I now have cooked and flashed my first ROM. I feel so dirty, but it was good.

Ah, I see. Tells you how much I know about a kitchen. So much for that then...

Drellisdee, do you have any plans to add 23549 to your kitchen?

Re: Imagio Kitchen has arrived!

just a heads up for anyone trying out the PPCkitchen.org's Kitchen.. For the Imagio, the pieces and OEMs available to it are pretty thin, such as no Manila 2.5.2012xxx, etc. Plus, the installer is not that smooth, there are some files you have to change and rename in order to get it to work.

their kitchen was always one of the best, but a heads up, its still a work in progress now.

Will it be pretty appearant which files need to be modified? I'm waiting on it to update now and i'll be compiling my first build this evening using it. The interface seems pretty straight forward compare to the Dr. one. Or perhaps is there a more straight forward "How To" for the Dr. kitchen that I missed?
