VZN Nav for Energy ROM

Fellow PPCG'rs, before I cancel my $10 vzn navigator, I like to see if any has found a work around. Using Energy.IMAGIO.21895.Sense2.5_with Cookie_HomeTab.Mar.13.R2 ROM.
Problem: NRG, one other issue I have come across, I know most peeps dont care for VZN Navigator, but I use it a lot. I found version 5.0 cab, but when i try to start it, I get a "There was a problem initializing the GPS. Please exit and restart VZ Navigator" Any idea's? Thanks.

the reason you are getting that message is that the drivers must be signed by verizon to access the verizon GPS stack. Unless somebody can give you a VZ Nav cab with signed drivers I don't know how you would be able to get that to work.
Anyone got any idea's??? Thanks.

Re: VZN Nav for Energy ROM

I dropped VZN Nav as soon as I got a Smart Phone. I use iGo 8 now. Also it is a one time payment... No month to month crap. Let me tell you this thing rocks!

Also couldn't see spending ten bucks a month. Got Copilot8 and it works great.

WHOA!!! For THAT price i'd just get a cheap TomTom or Garmin stand alone unit...that will probably be more reliable and last longer than our Imagio's...

There's always Garmin XT too.

It is the price of 9 months of VZ nav so it is not that expensive. Also I tried the TomTom and Garmin XT for win mo and I hated them both (I actually could not get TomTom to work correctly) then I got iGo 8 and it rocks. Also the point of this is so you don't have to carry around your phone and a TomTom ect. You have one device that does everything in your pocket.

Re: VZN Nav for Energy ROM

I have been using Urban Horizon (http://www.novlummobile.com/) which is about $20 a year. However, I was going to renew my subscription today, but was unable to. I got the message that all Urban Horizon sales were discontinued until further notice.

I hope that this is temporary since the software is AMAZING.
