New Display Off Tool

So hopefully by now everyone has a way to turn their display off besides by hitting the lock soft key or by holding down the call/power button. I had a post where I used a program that turned the screen off which I mapped to the media button found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ghlight=screen. Well I have came across a program that uses your proximity sensor sensor to turn the display off (somewhat like it does during a call except it doesnt back turn on unless you press a hard key). Here is the thread where I found it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624206. I have also attached the cab below. Enjoy

Re: New Display Off Tool

pretty cool way to turn off the phone. almost like a magic trick for friends : ) the only thing that isnt so great is it's kind of sensitive. When the phone is on a flat surface, my hand seems to trigger the proximity sensor often.

is there a way to change how close you need to be? or length of time over the sensor?

Re: New Display Off Tool

Using it now. Love it and great way to lock it quickly! I have the media button mapped to the right soft key, which is mapped to devicelock on the homescreen. Now i just put my finger over the sensor and it locks. Ingenious!

Re: New Display Off Tool

Yeah the same with me regarding the sensitivity. I am getting use to it though.
