Re: Changing the imagio dialer

So I have a question for those PHONEEX users using it on their imagios. I just bought and installed it onto mine and it seems like my data connection is running more often almost seems like it is going all the time. I was wondering why that is, is there a setting or something that makes it connect more often? I saw a setting for news updates or something under the option menu, maybe that has something to do with it. Draining my battery a little quicker. Let me know if you have any ideas.

I agree. I have white arrows all day. Plus i'm having trouble with my visual voicemail because of it. Plus my batt seems too die a little quicker. I think it's because of Phone-ex.

that stinks because I liked this. I'm going to try it for a few more days unless you guys know a fix. Or is it just us two????

I downloaded the trial version, and i don't have any problems. My data connection doesn't run, and my battery life is excellent. I will probably end up buying the app because i like it so well. Make sure you go in and check all your settings. Mine is doing fine.

Re: Changing the imagio dialer

Hummm, i of course un-checked the "Check for News setting" but it always put itself back on. I just un-checked "Disable WM dialer phone (for better performance)". and it seems to be better. Not Disable the WM Dialer BUT actually keep it enabled. And it seems to be fine now.
One more thing I notice though, the hard end button doesn't seem to end a call..

Ya thats something I noticed as well is the hard button not ending the call when I push it. That is really annoying... The screen also doesn't go in standby very well when in a phone call. What I mean is when i'm in a call normally the screen goes black when its next to my ear then lights back up as I pull it away. With phonex it goes darker when i start the call then turns off at some random point, then it doesnt turn back on unless I hit one of the hard buttons.
Any suggestions on this??

Re: Changing the imagio dialer

In my phone options, under phone, then screen off during conversation, i have that on "Default". Also, in "Disable windows mobile phone, I don't have it checked. But i also have diamond tweak, not HD tweak on my phone, (it works for me) and in the Diamond Tweak settings, i have "Fast asleep..Disallow, "Sleep" .. Allow, and "Light Sensor"...Enabled. Im not sure about the end call button. I also have advanced configuration installed on my storage card, and under phone settings, i have end call set at 1000 (which is for 1 second). The end button end's my calls.

Re: Changing the imagio dialer

I haven't seen any issues using Phonex all these years... News application does connect to web but I disable it and notice no problems.
Out of curiosity have the ones that reported that their web connection is always active, have you really paid attention to it before you installed Phonex because with sense weather always updating and email checking for updates I noticed my unit was always connected to data out of the box.

Without using a patch or software to disconnect data it does not disconnect on its own so once it connects it stays connected so I think you are blaming wrong thing for data connection being active.

And as for the end button not working, this has to be a setting because I hangup all the time with mine and it works fine. Check settings for lock hard keys isn't checked...

Try this cab to disconnect web after 2 minutes of non use of data connection or try bandswitch
Oh yeah forgot to attach cab to remove 2 minute data fix in case you decide to change settings back if you use Bandswitch to avoid settings conflict... Uninstall original 2 minute fix from ADD and REMOVE and install Remove Data Connection 2 Minute Disconnect cab and reboot....
