1 solution for Sluggishness

I've had the Imagio from the 1st day it has been available. It performed great...but as time went on, it got VERY sluggish. So sluggish that it took about 4 mintutes to boot up, Opera 9.5 refused to open and the slider for selecting Home, messaging, email, Browser, etc was frozen for about 5 minutes.

The Real Issue:
I noticed that my email account (I had yahoo) had over 1600 emails! I normally have it set to only get a few days worth (which is normally only have about 12- 20 emails.

My Solution:
I deleted the email account and it solved the sluggishness! I then re-added the email account and now it is getting the proper amount of emails.

Hope this helps others.

Re: 1 solution for Sluggishness

I've had to delete and re-add a work e-mail account a few times because every few weeks it just stops syncing. This is an account where I get 40-50 e-mails a day, I notice pretty quickly if it's not working.

It's never downloaded more than about 80 of the 2,000 e-mails I have in my account, though.

Hmm. So your saving your emails then? I always delete the ones I don't need and save any others back on the server. Never have any issue. That, and use memmaid to clean house once a day. I've been very impressed with my imagio's speed.

Re: 1 solution for Sluggishness

I have my emails get put onto my storage card. But I set it to only keep a few days worth, which is usually around 20-30 emails.

For some reason the setting doesn't work after a few weeks and ALL 1600 emails get downloaded. Yes, I don't clean out my Inbox ...thats where I store all of my emails .
