is it possible to use the camera in portrait mode? would gyrator do that

Not sure what you mean... the camera does work in portrait mode. Maybe I am misunderstanding your question.

Actually I think I see what you mean. The controls only orient in landscape mode. I haven't seen a fix for this yet but I would be interested to see what that would look like.

Exactly, i use my phone pretty much exclusively in Portrait mode, keys are closer together when typing and scrolling down long pages of text are easier. I only use landscape when watching a movie or youtube video.

camera controls & bottom menu are fixed at landscape which is an oversight but you can work around them. also remember the physical back button when using the camera in portrait mode is very useful!
