Removing stylus ends tethered connection.
 

Hmm... while looking at another thread I wanted to do a registry edit and with my fat fingers I use my stylus when doing registry mods. As soon as I removed the stylus my tethered connection was dropped. Anyone know why or if I can fix/change this?

As an experiment, try unchecking the box "Open Notes when stylus is pulled out during a call."
All Settings> Personal> Phone> Advanced (lower tab)
It's the only setting I can find that relates to the stylus.

Hmm. this is good info. I tether alot but always in my home office so I have an extra stylus handy and never take the phone's out. My old tp magnetic one. Gotta love that magnet, clips on the lamp, very convienent.
EDIT: Just tested. Pulled it out and still connected. My notes/stylus/incall thing is disabled btw.

that's still a bit strange, because opening notes should not end the call. kinda sounds like it's either related to the #777/gsm conflict or a legit bug in a htc dll.
