Opera 9.7 issue. Screen gets "interrupted" by messaging

I upgraded to Opera 9.7. I think it's much better than the stock 9.5. BUT - if I get an email (text may do this too) my Opera page goes all fuzzy. Unreadable. I can't just open a new tab. Same effect. I need to close Opera 9.7 and start over. I wonder if it has to do with the alert.

Anyone using 10.0? I didn't upgrade because it didn't rotate but I think there's a beta now for that.

Anyone know what's up?

I haven't seen the fuzzy Opera screen with incoming email like you have. I'm not sure what that's all about. Opera 10 Beta 2 works fine for me. If I have Gyrator2 running in the background as well, I can spin Opera 10 a full 360 degrees and even read it upside down.

Does the zoom bar work?

Nope, not with Opera. Tap on screen to zoom in. In "options" within Opera, you have zoom level settings: 60%, 80%, 100% and so on up to 200%. When you tap, the zoom jumps to that preset level (I've got mine at 200%). To zoom out again, tap the magnifying-glass-minus-sign icon at the lower left of the screen.

i get the same thing... was not sure when or why it happens. what version of 9.7 did you install.

10b2 is good but a memory hog (crashes on TF3D but runs good using wm65 start/home)

ok... did multiple installs of all versions up to the 9.7.35627 "leo" version which has no blur but lacks a zoom button (removed for multi touch?)

Opera_9.70.35443 is the latest version that works that does not glitch out the screen when an email/sms arrives. this one is said to be "flash" compatible too but i don't run that software.

You can simply install that and it will prompt to uninstall the existing o9 version & reboot. keeps stored "passwords" but loses homepage/settings.

I did a hard reset and just went back to 9.5. +the bookmarks and history read properly with SPB Mobile shell. Not even sure it's slower. I really did like 9.7's backward and forward scroling though.
