Slow Hanging up the phone

I just found this forum and I have to say I am hooked. Thanks for all the awesome posts.
I have an issue with my Imagio and I am wondering if anyone else does as well. Sometimes I accidentally make a call and I want to hangup the phone before it starts dialing. I press the end button frantically several times and the onscreen end button but the call seems to get connected anyway. It is very frustrating and time consuming. Any solutions?

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

Try this fix for the TP2. It worked for me when I had my TP2 so it should work for you.
Install the cab in the device memory and soft reset.

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

Way cool!!!!

[HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendSetting]
"EndCallTime" = dword:3000

The 3000 is the default 3 seconds, the time to end a call.

I changed mine to 250.

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

Thanks men. I didn't realize that could be changed. I thought it was something we had to live with.

Sail, your way seems easy and simple. Is that it. I just change the "3000" to "500"??
I don't have to do anything else (meaning change any of the letters)?

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

You need a program that allows you to change the registry settings. Total Commander is what I used. Then go into \\plugins, find the "registry" folder under that, then browse down the path until you reach

HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendSetting

In that folder you will find the key "EndCallTime"

Open that key and you should see a box with "3000" in it. Change it to 500, 250 or whatever value you desire. 500 is 1/2 second, 250 is 1/4 second &c. I set mine to 250. Then hit the OK button. You may have to do a soft reset for it to refresh.

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

what is "plug in" under??? i have Resco Explorer.

I start in "Device" but can't find "plug in" anywhere.

sorry

Maybe I need to install that cab first? Then "Plug ins" comes up? I thought your way was to get around installing the cab. sorry again, I just need a little more.

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

I think Resco has a seperate registry editor program. Check your "All Programs" list maybe. I don't have Resco on my machine anymore.

Re: Slow Hanging up the phone

I'm Sorry. I was using Resco not realizing I needed to use a Reg Editor. I have one. Now everytinh looks familiar. Sorry and thanks for the help
