Help! Incoming text message stops my video recording.

My daughter frequently has dance competitions and I like to record them using my phone. I was recording this weekend and received a text message which stopped my recording. Has anyone experienced this problem and do you know how to prevent this in the future?

the easiest thing I can think of would be to put your phone in flight mode. this would ensure no interruptions (unless alarm clock maybe) when your done recording, disable flight mode and any text messages and voicemails that you missed will show up
