Screen is doing that sweet thing where the backlight never turns off

I had this issue once before and found that the settings had mysteriously changed without my touching them. I've since checked them and made sure they were all correct (see image). Sure enough my device will no longer turn off while plugged into the power, PC or not plugged in at all. Hard on battery life. Any suggestions? Should this be in the "Why I want to kill my Imagio" thread?

Just a thought. Have you tried changing the settings, exit, reboot, re-enter and change them back, and reboot one more time? The registry entries may have gotten corrupted. Doing the 'change' and 'change' back will reset them.
Might be worth a try.

hard reset? or maybe check what items you installed last , perhaps one of those is causing the issue

For me, this happens if I don't soft reset every few days. Even CleanRam won't stop my Imagio from "sleeping" incorrectly. I've taken to using the power button to "sleep" the phone when plugged in (hold the power button and then tap the turn-off-screen option).

Mine does this when connected to the laptop but never if plugged to charger only??? I am not sure what could cause this.

I wonder if its based on the active sync vs. external drive setting... I'll have to check this out later... I have it set for the phone to be an external drive.
