A few days ago I got a patch for my imagio. It downloaded and installed. Now all of my major and minor gripes are put to rest.

1. Memory Issues - I would get errors after using apps and then trying to open one like teeter to show off my phone. Wow. Random memory issues have been resolved for now.

2. Apps Crashing - Fewer crashes by far. The video and picture viewer were the worst. Bombing out after displaying video.

3. Oddly enough I looked for a version update but I do not think that will change because that is changed with a ROM update.

4. This was a windows 6.5 patch from MS so make sure to sign up for windows live and live update to get the latest and ALWAYS click yes when your app crashes to send to MS. There are far fewer of us to do it.


If anyone got this patch can they post it or the link to download it.

Sounds like a hoax to me. Patches and updates will come from the manufacturer and not microsoft. MS will dispatch OS updates through the manufacturers/carriers. Now, I read somewhere that MS updates may be actually taking place overseas, but this was never an actuality but a theory of WM6.5/7

Actually - it is my understanding that times - they are changing to a degree, slowly but surely. I am not convinced that this is a hoax. Could be in this case, but that does not change the fact that future will bring a different patching model to Windows phones.

If this were a real update we would know about it. I'm sure an update is coming but have any other WM 6.5 devices received any updates yet - stateside? And would VERIZON be the first to receive/release it? come on...

I actually talked to HTC on Friday about something and while I was on the phone I asked if they heard of this. He said it was complete crap because MS provides folks like HTC with a framework OS and the manufacturer then completes the OS interface for the hardware so that everything talks and works. He says MS could not update the framework part of the OS without great chance of breaking the hardware manufacturers software tie-in and making the device all screwed up at best. All updates will go from MS to the manufacturer and will distributed by the manufacturer. He says complete bull crap and not possable.
