Lightbulb Is my root off my phone?

My phone has been acting a little funny lately.

When I try to turn on the screen, it wont turn on.. after messing w/ it for awhile, it will come back on...

I want to take it to Sprint, but I need to make sure my root is off the phone.

I hard reset my phone, but I don't know if that got rid of it.

Can anyone tell me how to FULLY make sure it is off my phone?

Re: Is my root off my phone?

Run the Stock RUU and it will put the phone back to stock.

I am guessing you can update to official 2.1, but I don't know if you can get back root after that. Haven't been following lately.

Need to be prepared if it does...

Thanks!

Re: Is my root off my phone?

Yes it will, it will make your phone just like it was when you took it out of the box and activated it for the first time.

Re: Is my root off my phone?

This didn't wok for me. I upgraded to offcial 2.1 ROM and rooted it and tried to use the file listed in this get it back to 1.5. I got an error stating

ERROR[140]: BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot update your android phone
Please get the correct ROM Update utility and try again

Any suggestions??

Current Rom: 2.27.651.5
Attempting to Update to: 1.56.651.2

You have to use the 2.1 ruu. It is 100% impossible to use the 1.5 ruu now that you have 2.1. The 2.1 ruu will remove your root as well, though.
