Reverting back to 1.5 after offical 2.1 release

I recently flashed the official 2.1 Sprint version and I am very unsatisfied with it. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to go back to 1.5, reroot, then flash a custom 2.1 version since the official 2.1 has not been rooted.

Any idea guys/gals?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Reverting back to 1.5 after offical 2.1 release

I read somewhere on here that someone figured out how to root the sprint 2.1 if you had already rooted the original rom. I know this is vague but I was unable to find it when I looked for it so if you can find this, please post it for everyone. Thanks.

Re: Reverting back to 1.5 after offical 2.1 release

I did see this thread but was under the impression it would not work with 2.1. I will give it a try though and report back when i get off of work.

Wish me luck!

Re: Reverting back to 1.5 after offical 2.1 release

I heard on xda that a sprint rep told someone that they could take their phone into a sprint store and have it flashed back to 1.5 and if it bricked the phone that they would be responsible for it and give you a new one. Also the link that Carla provided will only work if you've flashed the test version. The official update is alot harder to root because Hboot sees that the patch they've made doesn't have an official signature from HTC and thus won't update. Hopefully soon this problem will be figured out. Till then you might have to get pretty creative to get 1.5 back on the phone.
