Question Does removing the Torx bits allow access to the screen?

So, I've already taken my Hero to Sprint once to have them clear the dust off my screen, but having to wait 1.5 hours to get that done is a chore. I took the battery cover off to see that there are 4 small Torx screws in the base, and now I'm wondering if removing these will allow me to take the phone apart so that I can clean the screen myself.

Would help in not having to bother with Sprint store again, plus I'm sure however they gain access into the phone to clean it, I could, too.

Here ya go, I've been wanting to do this to mine. My lower left corner is getting almost impossible to see.

Edit: - 5 min and I'm all done... screen is as clear as the day I bought it. A good lens cleaning cloth makes this easier. I had one sitting around. Phone is dead simple to take apart.

Re: Does removing the Torx bits allow access to the screen?

yes you can do it yourself easily. i manage a sprint service center and it really takes maybe 5 minutes 10 to 15 if the rep has never done one before. so theres no need that you had to wait over an hour to get it done. come visit me in raleigh NC and we'd have ya out the door in 15 minutes but the drive to get to us may be a bit longer LOL
