Actually this is my question too, I know I'm missing something and I am a noob, so if you don't mind sharing your discovery with me? Why does it say "digital roaming" 24/7 when I was never roaming prior to 2.1 upgrade?

OK after doing a specific google search, LOL I found this and it worked for me.

"Try updating your PRL:
1) Go to your home screen
2) Push the Menu button
3) Select Settings
4) Select About phone (at the bottom)
5) Select System updates
6) Select Update PRL"

I did a PRL and Profile update, which threw me into roaming all the time. I tried updating everything again and it wouldn't go. Yesterday, fed up with no EvDo, I PRL and profile updated again and managed to get it to connect and update. Now it's connecting to Sprint like normal.
