I just downloaded Smart Monitor and got the same results. Are there other apps out there to check against before we jump to conclusions?

Re: Seidios 1750 mAH Battery

I have not yet received an answer to my email to Seidio, however, I decided to call their customer service/tech support line (due to my impatience) and ask a rep. Granted, the rep could be blowing smoke up my rear, but he sounded pretty insistent that the battery is, in fact, 1750 mAh as advertised. At this point, I really can't argue with him, it was more of me just getting a verbal confirmation of the fact. He advised that all their batteries are tested using an industrial tester at their manufacturing site and must rate as advertised prior to shipping out. He did say he hadn't heard anything like this prior to my phone call for this particular battery, and he asked which method I used to test. I explained that it was a program in the market, and wasn't doubting the battery, I just needed confirmation.

I am now interested, however, in finding out a definite answer to this. I don't really know programming, so I don't understand how the program (Smart Monitor) reads the battery capacity. If anyone knows how this works and can prove that it is reading correctly and that it's not just a bug, or if we can find multiple programs yielding the same result (or best yet, an actual battery tester....can a Sprint Store do this?) we may have ourselves some solid ground to run with. Until we do this, however, it's all just speculation.

Re: Seidios 1750 mAH Battery

Check with TP2 users. The batteries are interchangeable. There was a thread talking about two batteries of same size will produce the same power output, unless pixie dust, or magic fairies are inside. They specifically referenced the seidio 1750 battery. If any of them have it, and it does indeed increase battery life, your question will be answered.

Re: Seidios 1750 mAH Battery

I had their stock-sized extended battery for my Touch. I had no problems and it did last longer than the stock one did. I'm planning on getting one for my Hero, but will keep monitoring this thread for any official answer.

you'll see how it did (it's a TP2 battery which is the same thing) such a rip off
