Official Gengerbread out!!
 

I got the notification yesterday and downloaded it.

Although there are some cosmetic differences, mostly I've noticed that my phone runs A LOT slower.

Anyone else get it yet?

after a day of use, GPS doesn't work, weather and mail won't update, and although a little faster, it's still slow as hell!

That is all in your heads, try restarting your phone, mine works a little faster/smoother

the only way I could get it to work a little smoother was to do a hard reset. It sucked but it's working, better anyway.

not too much changes as far as the OS goes, but the new sense has some pretty cool features... I love the quick settings tab in the notification bar, htc actually has its own battery widget! and the new camera is a million times better than the previous! we actually have decent zoom!!!

WTF? I am not getting the update... It just keeps saying that my phone is up to date.

Anyone have the update.zip from their SD? Im going to try to update my PROFILE and PRL and try to get the update again but at this time, I am stumped... jejeje

UPDATE 1: Tried to do SYSTEM UPDATES and here are the results

Firmware update: Up to date
Update Profile: Success
Update PRL: PRL Updated (but when I check its still 01115)
HTC software update: YOUR DEVICE IS UP TO DATE

ummmm... help... jejeje

Wow, downloaded this on Saturday and was just amazed at how much smoother my Shift runs. Unsure why some of you are having issues but everything is working well for me. Transitions and multitasking are much quicker than before and my battery seems to be performing better with applications like words with friends running in the background.

Did upgrade on my wife's Shift last night... I like the new sense.
It was always very snappy so not much of a difference from my point of view.
But looks nice nonetheless.
I will wait for feedback from Mrs. AZTECHKA and report back to you guys if I get any. Good or bad.

I am using the standard ROM and since upgrading the new GB update I noticed that almost every time that I exit one app the system pauses and then the HTC logo page pops up and them pauses while it loads the start screen...almost like it is having to reload Sense every time. Thoughts.?

Finally got updated... Really needed patience on this... jejeje

In regard to your HTC logo issue, I don't see it, mind sharing any specific apps that u are using that's causing this? I can test to see if it does thesame to mine..
